The early years…

New Yorkers Anthony R. Pustorino and Alfred A. Puglisi met in 1952 while working for the same CPA firm. Some years later, Fred Puglisi left to join a client firm as chief financial officer and Tony Pustorino moved on to one of the BIG 8 CPA firms.

In 1961, Tony started a CPA practice and invited Alfred to join him, thus starting Pustorino, Puglisi & Co. From its foundation, the firm has been recognized for its commitment to client services through quality performance as well as imaginative, creative and practical approaches to our clients’ specific needs and requirements. In addition, we pride ourselves on the timely communication of the professional and financial developments that are most critical to our client companies.

Today...

Pustorino, Puglisi & Co., LLP provides comprehensive accounting, review, audit, tax and management consulting services to national and international clients representing a broad range of industries. We custom tailor our accounting and auditing techniques to the size and type of organizations we serve. Our partners take a hands on approach, not typically seen in larger firms. This means the partners handling a particular engagement are also the ones who have been on-site, receiving information first hand, thereby allowing us to make timely recommendations concerning issues of importance to the organization.

We believe we are well versed in the accounting pronouncements and are especially effective at designing informative financial statements for the owners and management of our client organizations. We efficiently communicate matters that come to our attention during the course of our an engagements. To deal with today’s changing environment, we also maintain relationships with a variety of professionals in the areas of banking and employee benefit plans.

Our professional staff of CPA’s and CPA candidates are trained directly by our partners, who maintain primary contact and responsibility for their engagements. In addition to direct supervision, we offer them in-house training seminars, self-study courses, outside seminars and access to a comprehensive library of professional material.

We are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA), the New York, New Jersey, Texas and Connecticut State Societies of Certified Public Accountant's and we are also registered with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).
