Rocco Totino
Managing Partner

Rocco Totino is the Managing Partner of Pustorino, Puglisi & Co., LLP. He joined the firm in 1974, upon graduation from college. His experience and expertise includes but is not limited to the retail, import-export and fashion industries, as well as pension and other benefit plans including Taft-Hartley plans.

Mr. Totino has served as the president of his local school board. He is actively involved in fund raising for cancer research at the North Shore – LIJ Research Institute.

James A. Anziano
Audit partner

James A. Anziano joined the firm in 1977, upon graduation from college. His experience and expertise includes investment partnerships and hedge funds, as well as working with investment advisors, construction industry.

Mr. Anziano lives in Manhattan. He is involved in fund raising work on behalf of the Lubin School of Business at Pace University, chairing their annual golf outing. He is married and has two daughters.

Robert S. Manzella
Audit Partner

Robert S. Manzella joined Pustorino, Puglisi & Co., LLP in 1974, when they merged with the firm he worked for, John M. Murphy CPA. He has a broad range of experience in the auditing industry including expertise with construction, not for profits, oil and gas as well as sales and distribution clients.

Mr. Manzella has been involved in committee work for the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) having served previously as Chairman of the New York State Committee in Auditing Standards. He is currently on the Accounting and Auditing Oversight Committee. In addition, Mr. Manzella is a member of the Accounting Advisory Committee for his alma mater, Iona College where he has also been a guest lecturer. He is married and has three children.

Gary R. Purwin
Audit Partner

Gary R. Purwin joined the firm in 1983, upon graduation from college. His experience and expertise includes broker dealers and other financial services, not-for-profit clients, as well as the oil and gas development and production industries. He holds a Series 27 license to be a financial operations officer with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).

Mr. Purwin serves on the Stockbrokerage committee of the NYSSCPA's. He is married and has two daughters.

Robyn H. Rothstein joined the firm in 1996. She previously worked for The Legal Aid Society of New York. She specializes in financial services; predominantly hedge funds, investment partnerships and fund of funds.

Anna Lisa Prata came to the firm as an intern in 1987 while attending Pace University and upon graduation joined the firm on a full time basis. Her experience and expertise includes but is not limited to the manufacturing, retail, import-export and fashion industries.

Paul J. Gajkowski
Tax Partner

Paul J. Gajkowski joined the firm in 1981. He previously worked for Allied Stores and the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. He specializes in investment partnerships, state, local and international taxation, hedge funds as well as real estate taxation.

Mr. Gajkowski has served on numerous New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants committees including the State and Local Taxation Committee, the Partnership and Taxation Committee and the Financial Products Committee. He is married and has one daughter.

Kevin McCabe

Anthony J. Dattoma
Tax Manager

Anthony J. Dattoma joined the firm in 1978 and in 1981 went to the New York City tax department of the national firm of Seidman & Co. Inc. He rejoined Pustorino, Puglisi & Co., LLP in 1988 and has been a member of the firm's tax department since that date. He has a wide range of tax experience including tax work corporations, partnerships, trusts & estates, exempt organizations as well as individual taxation.

Mr. Dattoma has and continues to serve on committees of The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants with extensive service on the committee for closely held businesses. During his committee service he has lectured at State Society sponsored annual conferences.

Mr. Dattoma has a bachelor's degree from Baruch College and a masters degree in Taxation from Pace University.

Robert Steele
Tax Manager

Mr. Steele has over 36 years of professional experience in individual, partnership, fiduciary, corporate tax representation, compliance and planning. Mr. Steele represents clients before the Internal Revenue Service and various state and local governments.

Mr. Steele received his Masters Degree in Accounting and Taxation from New York University. Mr. Steele is on the NYS Committee for Relations with Internal Revenue Service and New York, Multi-state, and Local Taxation. Mr. Steele is also a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Steele has instructed tax classes for the Internal Revenue Service and has lectured for the New York State Foundation Accounting Education.
